So for my birthday I had two people come visit me from Canada - Miss Canada and her friend Candice. Now, some people may know of Miss Canada, some people may not, so I suppose I should explain.
Miss Canada is "Miss Canada" because she asked me not to mention her on blog. She is 23 years old and she lived in England for a couple of years on a visa. I met her first in Manchester in Jan 05.
I'm not entirely sure how much a detailed post about her will offend her as she is a private person and a lot of her friends read this. Therefore, I wont write much here. So to cut a long story short, for various reasons she went home last June.
But she came to visit me for my 30th and that makes me happy!
So on to the strange twist of fate...
I cut my holiday in Scotland short because I decided to come back to Liverpool to watch the Champions League final in the lucky pub. So I left them two in Scotland and got the train home on Wednesday. Yes, many people think I am a twat for doing that - after all they have travelled thousands of miles to spend time here for my birthday.
But I admit it - I am Liverpool obsessed and the team runs through my blood. Liverpool FC are like a loyal dog to me - they will always be there for me through good times and bad, and forever will they be associated with my life.
Needless to say, I never watched the match in the lucky pub - and we lost!
That's an aside - I don't want to think of that any more. Back to this fragmented story...
Miss Canada and Candice booked a train from Glasgow to London to spend the rest of their time here in our Capital. Not long into their journey I got a phone call - their train had broken down in Preston and all other trains were full that day.
So they jumped on the next train to Ormskirk and I toddled off and picked them up!
To me that is very lucky, not only did they arrange for a refund on the tickets, but they got to stay here and have the amazing company of moi for the evening! They could have broken down anywhere - Preston was the only stop that I could have picked them up!! A sign, if ever there was one!!
AND - on the day Pirates of the Caribbean 3 came out!!!
And so that is what we did for the evening!

I have to say I do like this series of films - and yes I know, Captain Jack Sparrow is fit (you peoples can stop saying it now! If another girl tells me that, I think I might go insane!). The ending wasn't a good one, and part of the film made me think they had written it in just to show a little more of Jack Sparrow. Gosh, I am sounding rather jealous now aren't I - to be honest though I think JD is a genius the way he acts during those films. A whole new breed of acting, that is for sure!
Anyways, this post seems to be going on forever, I think I might just go to the bathroom and play FIFA 06 on my mobile...
